1. National Authority for Consumer Protection

Consumers may consult public information from the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection and use the mechanisms made available by the authority where the matter falls within its competence.

2. Alternative dispute resolution - ADR/SAL

For potential disputes between consumers and traders, alternative dispute resolution may be used through the Romanian ADR/SAL mechanism, under the applicable legal framework and authority instructions.

3. European ODR platform

2026 update: the European Online Dispute Resolution platform — ODR — has been discontinued as of 20 July 2025. Current information should be checked through official European Commission sources and available national mechanisms.

  • Where a matter concerns consumer rights in relation to a trader, the consumer may use available ANPC/ADR channels.
